AVP of Nursing for Perioperative Services and Emergency Department
Fall in love with this thriving city steeped in the traditions of the Olde South, home to one of its largest universities, and only short hours from the Gulf coast beaches of the Florida panhandle!
Our client hospital, a not for profit facility of just under 400 beds in a great southeastern location, is searching for a leader with a diverse background in the OR and ED. Someone who has experience in a CVOR along with Endo, Ambulatory Services. Cath Lab, and the E D would be a great match!
Educational requirements:
? Must be a registered nurse with a Baccalaureate degree in Nursing (BSN) or other Healthcare related field
? Masters degree complete or being completed

Experience requirements include:
? At least 6-8 years strong clinical nursing
? 3 years managing multiple units
? An ACNO or ADON or Service Line Director from a medium sized or larger hospital would potentially be a great match??.experience in a small hospital alone will not be a fit nor would someone who has worked in only one hospital their entire career.
? Three years experience in a for profit environment would be a definite plus
Our client is looking for a minimum of 2 1/2 - 3 year commitment from the candidate and wants a leader who is practical and can apply theory.... rather than a theoretical person coming from an academic background.
? The hospital is undergoing major change and the first year will test your mettle as it will require some long hours, 9 -12 hour days, in order to support the VP of Patient Care in her efforts.
? The client does understand the need for family time, and that is honored; but has asked us to be certain that anyone who is considering this role be aware of that at first it will not be a 40 hour work week.
? One of the big changes taking place is the implementation of the new electronic medical record.
? Lastly, and very importantly, the successful candidate needs to want to grow professionally and succeed the CNO!
The Departments:
? ED-- 29 beds, 48,000 visits / yr.--60 FTEs
? Perioperative Services -- oversee 15 ORs, PACU, 7 suite endo, pre-op, Pre-admit testing -- 1200 OR cases/ month; 700 endo cases/ month -- 100 FTEs; building ASC to open later this year.
Our client is offering a six figure salary based on education and experience up to 110K plus annual performance bonus, temporary housing, and relocation assistance.
