The Community Hospital Surgery and Special Procedures departments encompass the operating suites, post anesthesia care unit (PACU), same-day surgery, pain management service, cardiac catheterization laboratory, endoscopy (GI) laboratory and other special procedures.
Surgical Services
4 operating suites, 6-bed PACU, and 11-bed same-day (ambulatory) surgery unit
Staffed by specially trained surgical nurses, operating room technicians and ancillary staff of 54 FTE?s.
Most all surgical specialties represented, including general, vascular, orthopedic, spine, urology, obstetrics, gynecology, and ophthalmology; also pain management (including therapeutic blocks and nerve stimulator placements)
Specialize in advanced laparoscopic procedures and spine surgery, including artificial disk replacement and kyphoplasty
Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory
State-of-the-art suite for nonemergent cases
Services include diagnostic cardiac catheterizations, diagnostic and therapeutic peripheral angiograms, permanent pacemaker placements and generator replacements, and some vascular procedures
At least two registered nurses with advanced cardiac life support certificates and an X-ray technologist support physicians during catheterization procedures
Endoscopy (Gastrointestinal or GI) Laboratory
Two state-of-the-art suites for endoscopy/GI procedures
Services include colonoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, bronchoscopy, paracentesis, thoracentresis, EGD, ERCP (diagnostic and therapeutic), and peg tube placement
Other Special Procedures
Located on the coast this community offers many outdoor amenities with fine dining, shopping, wineries minutes away.
Ideal candidate will have BSN with Masters preferred, 3 plus years of management experience in Surgical Services
