Not for profit hospital is seeking seasoned Director of Surgical Services for large Surgical Services department. Ranked in top 10% in the nation by Healthgrades
This 500 plus bed hospital with 28 OR suites that encompass the Main OR, Women?s area, and Day Surgery. Additional cost centers of PACU, Pre-admission Testing, Pre-procedure holding, Main OR Pre-OP holding, and Central Processing.
Case load around 18K for entire surgical area. Strong open heart program with one the top heart Surgeons in the nation. Specialty areas of spines and joints are top case produces as well.
There are 200 FTE?s with 1st line managers in each cost center. New CEO has been in place for the past 8 months and has made great strides in building top notch Administrative team! Plans are in the process for building new facility in the next 2 years.
Goals of the new Director will be to stabilize the OR management and staff!
Cost control, OR start times and proper utilization of both staff scheduling and OR scheduling will be top priority, along with building services lines to increase case loads.
Ideal candidate must have BSN, Masters (or masters in progress) with 8 plus years of solid progressive management experience in a large department.
